Peer-to-Peer

Peer-to-Peer Fundraising through your own Personal Giving Page

The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches have many supporters who want to leverage their personal network to support our charity. Their network includes their family, friends, business associates and beyond. This is the growing fundraising platform for nonprofits and we have developed this initiative to help supporters help us and the children.

What exactly is peer-to-peer fundraising anyway?

Peer-to-peer fundraising happens when a nonprofit asks their supporters to fundraise on their behalf. Independent supporters, called grassroots fundraisers, may also fundraise even though they may not be directly affiliated with the charitable organization.

How does peer-to-peer fundraising work?

A charity asks their most passionate supporters to fundraise on their behalf. Fundraisers (you) reach out to their network of friends, family, business associates
and others.

Friends and family give to a charity through a peer’s personalized fundraising page. Fundraisers gain the support of their network by simply being who they are, a credible, passionate, loved one. A person is more likely to donate to a fundraiser personal giving page because of the trust/respect they have for the person. To help you help us, we have registered our charity with FirstGiving, a trusted Personal Giving Page platform that other Donors have used successfully.
