Sheriff Noel Stephen of the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff David Hardin of the Glades County Sheriff’s Office are proud to announce the First Responders Hookin’ Specks for the Ranches Fishing Tournament. All proceeds support the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
First Responders Hookin’ Specks for the Ranches is a fishing tournament involving First Responders, either active or retired Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, Law Enforcement, Dispatchers, Detention Deputies, Doctors, Nurses, and active duty, retired, and honorably discharged Military members. Auxiliary/Reserve/Volunteers of the previous professions are also allowed. Proof of active or retired identification will be required during check-in. There will be a Captain’s meeting on Friday, February 14, 2025, and the fishing tournament will be on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Captain’s Meeting, boat launch, weigh-in, and awards ceremony are conducted at the Scott Driver Pavilion. Boats will launch at safe light, according to boat number, lines in at 7AM (Start Fishing) and lines out (Stop Fishing) at 3 PM. Weigh-in opens at 3 PM, and all boats must be checked in at the pavilion by 4 PM. Food and awards ceremony starts at 4:30 PM.
Cost is $175.00 per boat, Big Fish Entry is $25.00, Total of $200
