Suwannee County, FL – This year’s annual Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch Open House and Horse Show will provide an enjoyable and exciting weekend for people and riding clubs from across the state. The event will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 through Sunday, October 5, 2014 . The Open House and Horse Show offers free primitive camping, horse games and many other activities. Admission is $10 per vehicle for the entire weekend.
The event will kick off Friday with Pole Bending and a free chicken pilau dinner at 5:00 p.m. Saturday will offer the Texas Barrel Weave, Arena Race, Buddy Pickup, the Grand Entry ceremonies featuring the Riding Ranchers, a barbecue lunch and tours of the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch. There will be a Worship Service Sunday prior to the games resuming.
This year's entertainment will feature music by the Road Masters and Free Wheelin.
The mission of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is to prevent juvenile delinquency and develop lawful, productive citizens through a broad range of family-centered services.
This charitable, nonprofit corporation was founded by the Florida Sheriffs Association and operates three residential child-care campuses and three Youth Camps.
